Description
solarROBOT compact solar cleaning robot - this device was developed in collaboration with the company hyCLEANER and will open a new chapter in the field of cleaning robots for PV and solar systems in fall 2023.
The small and maneuverable machine called "solarROBOT compact" was developed with the aim of being able to offer a system that can be brought to the site or onto the roofs without a crane or cherry picker. It is therefore easy to dismantle into 6 components, each of which is lighter than 10 kg and can therefore be carried on the ladder . Although the device can also be transported by crane, this method of transportation is no longer mandatory with the solarROBOT compact and the often expensive and complex crane can be dispensed with in many cases or does not have to be purchasedor added. In addition to this key feature, the machine's price point of less than €20,000 net also takes it into a new world and enables companies that do not primarily specialize in cleaning PV and solar systems to enter the world of automated solar cleaning.
The device also benefits from hyCLEANER's 13 years of expertise in the field of rotating and mobile brush and washing systems, which have been used on PV systems, façades and glass roofs for a decade and a half.
The cleaning robot is manufactured in uncompromising professional quality in Gronau, Westphalia, where it was also developed. There is no better way to earn the title "made in Germany".
In addition to the robust chassis with replaceable battery, the solarROBOT compact is based on two drive units that can be easily connected. For wet cleaning, these drive units rely on hyCLEANER's technology, which has been known for years, and correspondingly on leather straps that maintain contact with the panel. These ensure optimum grip up to the point where the panel is wet (Important! Please pre-water the straps!) for optimum grip up to an incline of 20° (surface conditions must always be taken into account). With a view to occupational safety, we also recommend pre-cleaning the robot's installation surface manually so that the device is already standing on a clean surface. The solarROBOT compact is also able to drive over gaps between two panels that are up to 20 cm wide (at an incline of up to 20°).
T wo 800 mm roller brushes of the usual quality ensure that the surfaces are cleaned twice in one pass. Both brush bodies are also easy to attach and weigh less than 10 kg each.A removable tarpaulin material is installed as splash protection.
With the optimum travel speed of approx. 1 km/h, the solarROBOT compact can achieve an area performance of up to 800 m² per hour as long as the brushes are mounted in parallel. For special applications, the brushes can also easily be arranged in a staggered arrangement, increasing the cleaning width to up to 1100 mm, which also increases the area performance to approx. 1100 m²/h. At the same time, of course, this no longer ensures "double" cleaning across the entire width. For light soiling and regular cleaning, however, this is negligible.
The appliance is operated via a professional remote control and radio system, which can be used to set and control parameters such as "direction", "brush rotation speed" and also the travel speed. An additional option for the solarROBOT compact is a comfort package called "edge detection incl. auto-stop". The special edge detection function causes the solarROBOT compact to stop automatically as soon as the machine approaches the edge of the respective solar surface, even if the operator continues to press the "Move forward" joystick. The solarROBOT compact can then either be driven out of the danger zone or light obstacles such as maintenance walkways can be overridden.
The built-in battery, which is included in the scope of delivery, supplies the cleaning machine with energy for approx. 1.5-2 hours.A second battery ensures smooth operation throughout the day, as one battery can always be conveniently recharged in the included charging station - in a practical carrying case with extra gadgets such as a USB port for charging cell phones and an emergency radio.
A medium-sized osmosis system that supplies at least 350 liters of pure water per hour is sufficient to supply the compact and manoeuvrable device with water.
We recommend the OSMOBIL PRO X to create a perfect set.
