REACH-iT Solar Pads are a special tool for cleaning solar and PV systems with highly sensitive anti-reflective coatings. The pads offered here fit on your Rocker Radial 35 cm attachment.
Most solar module cleaners do not know that there is sometimes an ARC (anti-reflective coating) on the solar modules. In practice, this can be recognized by the "matt" surface of some modules. ARC is a nano-coating that increases the solar yield of a clean solar panel by approx. 3-4 %. ARC can easily be damaged by brushes or pads that are too aggressive. For this reason, we have developed the solar pads with silicone bristles for the SOLAR ROCKER. This is a rather soft pad, which nevertheless has a high coefficient of friction due to the bristles, in order to remove dirt from the solar modules and to clean itself permanently in the best possible way. Of course, not all dirt can be removed with the solar pads, which is why we also offer other, more aggressive pads.Even though we want to protect the ARC - if present - the problem is that a dirty solar module can reduce the solar radiation by 10-30%, so it is actually more valuable for the building owner to have clean modules, even at the risk of easily damaging the ARC.
