Why are these ABS guards (similar to the well-known RSS grids) so interesting and useful?
When installing PV systems on single-family homes with pitched roofs, scaffolding is often erected to protect employees from falling.
Here, apart from the ascent to eaves height, only the top layer is actually built completely into the scaffolding and equipped with additional safety fences.
Nevertheless, the effort involved in scaffolding construction is often immense.
Now that the supply bottlenecks from the corona period have largely been overcome, the issue of scaffolding is the next bottleneck that leads to long waiting times and delays in the installation of PV and solar systems. For many roofs, the ABS Mobile Guard guardrails on pitched roofs are therefore a solution that completely eliminates the need for scaffolding. The systems are simply hung in the rain rings of the houses and support themselves on the respective house facades. The support points can be flexibly attached and adjusted so that openings in the façade (windows, doors, etc.) do not pose any problems. In contrast to traditional scaffolding, no brackets need to be drilled into the façade.

The product also meets the necessary certification: DIN EN 13374: 2013 C, which is very important for temporary side and edge protection systems.

Ultimately, the system therefore not only serves to reduce delivery times, as there is no longer any need to wait for the scaffolder.
The purchase of the inexpensive system usually pays for itself after just 10-15 uses if, in return, the costs for scaffolding construction can be saved completely.
