REACH-iT Solar Pads 2 pieces for Solar Rocker 55 cm are a specially developed tool for cleaning solar and photovoltaic systems with sensitive anti-reflective coatings (ARC). This pad set is designed to fit the Solar Rocker 55 cm attachment perfectly.
Many users are unaware that many solar modules have an anti-reflective coating (ARC). This can be recognized by the slightly matt surface, which is less reflective than conventional glass. ARC is a nanocoating that can increase the energy yield of a clean solar module by around 3-4% - however, it is sensitive to aggressive cleaning materials. The REACH-iT Solar Pads with soft silicone bristles were developed to protect these surfaces. These ensure gentle yet effective cleaning, as they offer a high coefficient of friction and largely clean themselves during use.
Not all soiling can be completely removed with these gentle pads. Alternative, more abrasive pads are available for more stubborn residues. Nevertheless, a clean solar module is crucial for the yield - even if there is a small risk of slightly damaging the ARC during cleaning. A clear benefit for operators who value optimum system performance.
