Description
GARDINER Standard SD extension no. 10, with which the telescopic poles of the GARDINER brand can generally be extended within a series. The standard extensions with the size or number "10" play a special role:
It fits on every GARDINER element no. 9 - regardless of the assembly (i.e. for SLX, SUPER MAX & XTREME). In addition, up to three of these elements can be fitted on top of each other (!).
These extensions are not "telescoped on", but "plugged on" and removed again after use (while the telescopic extensions can remain on the respective pole).
This has the advantage that the respective handpiece no longer becomes thicker. The diameter of this element is approx. 49 mm and therefore still just within the manageable range. The small disadvantage of the "plugging process" is that the telescopic hose has to be routed externally. However, in view of the advantages, we believe that this can be overcome.
Other, fully telescopic poles usually have diameters of 55 mm or more from a pole length of over 15 meters. These can then no longer really be held. In addition, the GARDINER extensions benefit from one of the other few advantages of the plug-in technology: namely the slightly better stability compared to telescopic poles (where each element logically has a different, and therefore decreasing, diameter).
