Description

IBIX 2 blasting media in 25 kg containers is suitable for various metals for rust and paint removal, as well as for roughening stainless steel and aluminum. Natural stone, such as polished marble or granite, can be blasted with this abrasive to make it non-slip. The coarser grain size allows concrete to be renovated and plaster to be removed. IBIX blasting abrasive 2 can also be used to remove paint from timber framing and wooden shingles.

The environmentally friendly blasting media from IBIX is suitable for all types of surface treatment, resulting in 50 - 100 % faster success than slag, for example, and thus minimizing costs immensely. Smaller grain sizes and a low blasting pressure enable 2/3 less consumption than conventional blasting material.

Neither the workplace nor the environment are polluted, as this is a chemically inactive, non-metallic material. It is ferrite-free, non-radioactive, non-recycled and also low in dust. All these factors and the low consumption ensure that disposal costs are significantly minimized. Due to their non-toxicity, IBIX blasting abrasives fall below the legally stipulated maximum values for silicogens, toxic and carcinogenic components. The low-pressure blasting drastically reduces the noise level.

In view of the very hard and splinter-resistant blasting abrasive (7.5 - 8 Mohs) in combination with the high specific weight (2.3), virtually dust-free blasting is possible. This means that an optimum roughness depth can be achieved. The chipping resistance enables multiple reusability.
