Description

Height safety device (HSG) with webbing (2m - 12m) 3.5 m (2.5 kg) is sharp-edge tested, approved for horizontal use and secures workers against falling during a wide range of activities: from permanent use in overhead systems to temporary use at existing anchorage points and options on the roof, façade or scaffolding. With the ABS B-Lock with webbing, you can choose between models with different extension lengths of between 2 and 12 meters. Our most compact fall arrester weighs so little that it can be conveniently carried as part of personal fall protection equipment (PPE) and used spontaneously when required. Larger models can be attached to the roller glider of fully traversable lifeline systems without hindering traversability.

Another advantage: the textile webbing does not leave any scratches on sensitive surfaces such as glass or paint. The ABS B-Lock fall arresters work in a similar way to the seat belt in your car: the rope or belt length adjusts automatically when working up to the maximum extension length without hindering the user. If the harness is pulled out too quickly - in the event of a fall, for example - the pawls inside the fall arrester lock into place. Our ABS B-Locks stop at an extension speed of more than 0.5 meters per second. The integrated braking system also serves as a shock absorber that limits the forces acting on the human body in the event of a fall.

Depending on the weather and application, the ABS B-Lock reduces the forces to 3-4 kN - and thus remains well below the value of 6 kN required by EN 360:2002. Whatever extension length you need, with all ABS B-Lock retractable type fall arresters you can rely on high quality and practical additional features. The webbing has a strength of 15 kN and is made of hard-wearing and durable polyamide. The HSGs are equipped with a swivel suspension at the top and bottom ends to prevent the webbing from twisting.

A fall indicator on the carabiner indicates when someone may have already been caught by the device and maintenance is required. ABS B-Lock retractable type fall arresters are suitable for a load of up to 136 kg (person incl. equipment) and are protected by a robust plastic housing.
