The Trauma Strap actively counteracts one of the most dangerous threats after a fall: fatal suspension trauma. This is caused by hanging motionless in the harness for a long period of time. The blood pump can no longer work, the blood sinks into the hanging parts of the body and the leg straps also impede the return flow of blood. The foot loop counteracts this threat by allowing the person who has fallen to push their feet into the loop, thereby continuing to activate the muscle pump and further stimulate blood circulation. This can actively delay the suspension trauma until a prompt rescue at height can take place. Further damage to the organs due to a lack of oxygen supply can also be avoided in this way.

This step loop from ABS Safety can be rolled up compactly and carried on the harness - inconspicuous yet easy to reach. The two pockets of the ABS Trauma Strap can be easily attached to the left and right at the interface between the shoulder harness and the thigh strap. In the event of a fall, the ABS Trauma Straps must be connected to the hooks and adjusted to the appropriate length. The now available step loop is used to restore blood circulation in the area of the leg straps by relieving the weight of the body.
